About Your Appointment

Please call reception for an appointment on (08) 9301 0060.

As it is likely that your pupils will be dilated, we suggest that you bring some sunglasses and somebody to help you get home. Your vision may be blurry, so we suggest that you think about how you will get home as you may not be able to drive.

You should also bring:

• your current and old spectacles
• valid referral from either an optometrist or doctor
• a list of your past medical problems
• a list of your current medications and allergies
• your medicare card
• your pension card, or private health insurance details.

Please allow 2-3 hours for your appointment. This may seem a long time, but this allows us to dilate your pupils so that you can be properly examined, and also allows you to have all of the testing and treatment (if necessary) that you require. Ultimately, having all of your testing and treatment at once will save you considerable time and is also likely to save you money as well.

You can save time at the clinic, by filling out your information form now and bringing it to the clinic.

We accept all major credit cards, EFTPOS and cash. It is our practice's policy that payment for your appointment is made on the day.

We encourage all patients to register for the Medicare Safety Net. This allows eligible patients to claim larger rebates from Medicare if they reach the Safety Net threshold.

We are open Monday to Friday every week, except for public holidays. 

Our normal opening hours are:

• Monday - Friday: 07:30 - 17:00

Northern Eye Surgeons is conveniently located in the Gateway Medical Centre, just off Joondalup Drive in Edgewater.
We are opposite the United petrol station and 24-hour carwash.
